Oh No, It’s Friday!

Posted by Ravi Jayagopal on January 13, 2006

Yeah, that’s how it feels when you love what you do. No, scratch that - not just “love” what you do, but are absolutely crazy about what you do.

That’s how it feels when you work for yourself, instead of slogging away your whole life for someone else.

That’s how it feels when you feel yet another week has gone by, you are yet another week old, and you suddenly realize that…

  • You haven’t learned enough…
  • You haven’t achieved enough…
  • You have’nt sold enough…
  • You haven’t earned enough…
  • You haven’t changed enough…
  • You haven’t grown enough…
  • You haven’t loved enough…
  • You haven’t lived enough…

Have you done enough for yourself this week?

If not, put your head down and get back to work - no, not your day job “work” - the real “work” of being on your own, the real “work” of being financially independent, the real “work” of owning your own time.

Fridays - they are for the mere mortals who just live weekend-to-weekend and paycheck-to-paycheck.

Not for winners like you.

Go on, be a winner.

I have EXACTLY the same feeling and thoughs every friday, when yet another week has blown by all too fast!

But it was different, once. Once, I was an employee, working monday - thursday. Every monday morning I woke up and said: Oh, no, it’s monday!

That’s when I decided to quit my job and work for myself. I have never regretted that decision (in 1996).

    Kind regards

Oh, forgot the most important! It’s good to have you back blogging again. I’ve really missed your blogs.

    Hey Ravi:

    I have a different story to tell………….

I was working on my own………little did I realise that it was not my own….but I had been a paid employee………..

This is what happens when you work in a family based organisation. The famil included 3 partners. I was one of them and the other 2 were my Parents…..

At Happier times, they made me feel BIG

when there were difference in opinions, they told the entire world that I was just a paid employee……

    I’m in a migration process…………..from being what I wasto being what I cud be………….

    I’m trying hard………..to win!

    Murugan
