Seth Godin and the “Viral” Video
He’s the man who is believed to have invented the word “Viral Marketing idea virus”, among many other powerful marketing concepts like “sneezers”, “worldview purple cow” and “Permission Marketing”.
The author of six bestsellers, including Permission Marketing, an Amazon Top 100 bestseller for a year and a Fortune Best Business Book. His newest book, All Marketers Are Liars, has already made the Amazon Top 100 and has inspired its own blog.
Seth’s own Yoyodyne, an interactive direct marketing company, was acquired by Yahoo! in 1998. He holds an MBA from Stanford, but his street-smart-marketing is hard-hitting.
In this video, he gives a presentation at Google! What an unbelievable honor! Don’t miss this one - it is about 48 minutes long, but his extraordinary insights and his unusual angle will knock your socks off.

Not everyone has broadband. The majority still have dial-up, especially those of us retired on soc. sec. or retired on limited income. For every 5 minutes of downloading your video I get 18 seconds of video. That’s over 10 hours of downloading to listen to 45 minutes of video. That’s if the server would allow us to stay on that long. They usually cut us off every two to three hours and we have to start from the beginning again.
To my knowledge only 36% have broadband. That leaves 64% that are not able to see the video.
There are vidoes that dial-ups can keep up with, but 90% of the vidoes I receive are set up for broadband, therefore they are a waste of your efforts and the time of those who have dialup servers.
Just something to think about.
