Wish I could be like him.

This photo always lifts up my spirits and the awesome song “I’ve got a pocketful of sunshine” (Natasha Bedingfield) starts playing in my head. And my mood is instantly elevated.

He is a male dog named Vanilla (don’t ask) – the world’s happiest, kindest, sweetest, gentlest, shyest, most loving being. And all he wants is a tiny strip of sunshine from any window in the house, a little food & water, and an evening walk or run.

Never imagined there could be a living thing that had such low expectations, and such a high level of happiness with whatever little he has.

Never complains. Always happy. Always grateful.

I’m not there yet, but I try, every day, to be grateful for what I have been blessed with.
